In this significant role, you will report to the US Head of Business Continuity, Incident Management and Operational Resilience. You will lead the US testing and exercise assurance capability across Business Continuity Management (BCM), Incident Management, and Operational Resilience, including Entity scenario test plans for US Important Business Services (IBSs). As a trusted adviser and senior subject matter expert, you will run selected exercises directly and assure that required testing is delivered consistently across the US entity, with strong evidence, reporting, and remediation in line with internal standards and broader regulatory expectations. You will collaborate closely with Global teams, representing the U.S. Entity on Group test planning and bringing in appropriate IBS management to support.

As our Business and Operational Resilience Testing Lead you will:

  • Lead US BCIM (Business Continuity and Incident Management ) testing assurance, setting expectations, and providing oversight across BCM lifecycle exercises, Operational Resilience scenario testing for US IBSs, and incident management exercising
  • Manage and maintain the US annual BCIM testing plan (integrated calendar), ensuring coverage of key scenarios and dependencies (including third parties) and alignment to internal requirements and broader regulatory expectations, including scenario testing that evidence US IBS preparedness against defined impact tolerances
  • Curate and maintain a US BCIM scenario inventory (localized from the Group scenarios library) and translate threat intelligence and operational learnings into US test priorities and executable test plans
  • Lead the execution of selected US exercises/tests (e.g., tabletop and simulations), including briefing, facilitation, debriefing, and lessons learned
  • Oversee execution by others (businesses/functions/technology/third parties) to ensure consistent standards, appropriate test rigor, and complete evidence capture (objectives/success criteria, results, issues, actions, and timely reporting), providing constructive challenge on scope and realism, and acting as a trusted adviser and senior SME (Subject Matter Expert) on scenario design and evidencing expectations
  • Drive discipline around remediation and re-testing, ensuring gaps identified through exercises and incidents are tracked through to closure and retested where required
  • Support third-party resilience validation, including assurance over evidence of supplier testing and, where appropriate, enabling deeper collaborative/joint testing to increase end-to-end confidence
  • Analyze outcomes and produce management information/insight, including leading/lagging indicators, to support decision-making, control monitoring, and audit/regulatory readiness, identifying systemic themes and driving continuous improvement through lessons learned and tracked remediation
  • Provide people leadership and capability development for the testing function, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Proven experience leading resilience exercises and testing programs across BCM, incident management and/or operational resilience (design through execution and reporting)
  • Experience facilitating senior stakeholder tests and translating results into clear, owned remediation actions
  • Experience overseeing testing performed by others and strengthening quality, consistency, and evidence standards across a distributed operating model
  • Ability to create resilience monitoring and metric design (leading/lagging indicators) and use supporting tools to produce actionable management information/insight
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication, able to influence across businesses/functions and partner effectively with Global teams
  • Demonstrated credibility as a senior SME/trusted adviser, able to coach and challenge teams to improve test quality and resilience outcomes
  • Prior experience operating at a technical leadership level, with a pragmatic delivery mindset and strong attention to control discipline
