Responsibilities
- Defining, negotiating, and closing high-impact data licensing partnerships
- Work closely with product, research, and engineering teams to understand technical data requirements, define priorities and identify key opportunities
- Leverage and expand contacts in the global data space to unlock partnership opportunities
- Conduct market research and analysis to understand the data landscape, identifying emerging trends and partnership opportunities in the AI ecosystem
- Working cross-functionally with legal, marketing, finance, product, and engineering teams to negotiate deal terms, drive special projects, advocate internally for partners, and educate on industry trends
- Providing regular reports and updates on partnership activity and performance
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in business development, strategy, or related fields
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to orchestrate and complete deals, including experience in interpreting legal documents and working with attorneys to complete agreements
- Experience in developing and driving business strategies and initiatives with executive stakeholders
- Experience in working closely with product and engineering teams
- Experience in developing working relationships both inside and outside an immediate team or partner organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in AI products and technologies such as AI models, use cases, and systems
- Experience in content and data licensing deals
- Experience collaborating with product teams and external partners on AI initiatives
- Experience in managing and driving AI initiatives from inception to launch successfully with partners
- Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Experience analyzing data and deriving actionable business insights
- Knowledge of the AI ecosystem and competitive landscape, including the technology, what other companies are doing, industry alliances, and broader government and regulatory positions
- Demonstrated track record of navigating cross-functional teams to achieve their goals
