Located in the historic Puck Building, Torrisi, a love letter to Little Italy, proudly presents an Italian-American restaurant with an extensive wine program, a New York-Italian cocktail bar and a luxe deli. Chef Rich Torrisi presides over an open kitchen and presents showstopping dishes, with many prepared or finished tableside to engender warm and welcoming hospitality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Anticipate guests’ needs and ensure that service meets/exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant dining experience.
Inspect dining room, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety.
Receive and greet members guests; assist with seating if necessary.
Check tables throughout service times for guest satisfaction, and resolve guest issues.
Maintain knowledge of menu and presentation standards and sound knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
REQUIREMENTS:Â
Minimum of 2-3 years as a Captain in an upscale, high volume restaurant required
Minimum of 2 years in a Michelin recognized restaurant preferred
Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.Â
Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service.Â
Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).Â
Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.Â
Proficient in computer skills including POS systems, Word and Excel.
