Description

Controlled Combustion is the leading heating contractor in NYC. We serve a variety of industries, including luxury apartments, hospitals, universities, and more. With over 150 employees, our team is as diverse as the services we offer.

At Controlled Combustion, job candidates may be considered for a variety of hands-on positions that support our service, installation, operations, and warehouse teams. We value technical training, professionalism, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.


Please note that many of our roles are in-person and may require daily travel to our Bronx office and/or job sites throughout the New York City area. Hybrid or remote work is not available for field and operations-based positions.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities may vary depending on the position, but can include:

  • Assisting with HVAC, plumbing, heating, and maintenance-related work
  • Supporting field technicians, mechanics, and project teams on job sites
  • Receiving, organizing, and preparing tools, materials, and equipment
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Following company safety procedures and industry best practices
  • Communicating with supervisors, coworkers, and office staff professionally
  • Completing assigned tasks accurately and on time
  • Supporting warehouse, operations, and service functions as needed

Schedule

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime may be available depending on role and workload


Experience (Preferred)

  • Trade school training through APEX, Lincoln Technical Institute or a similar vocational program
  • Exposure to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, maintenance, or building systems
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Any hands-on internship, apprenticeship, warehouse, or field experience is a plus

  • Bronx, NY 10458 (Required)
  • Ability to travel to NYC job sites as needed
