Position Overview

Great opportunity for a Social Worker seeking their next career move. LMSW required.

This position is located at St. John's Place Brooklyn, NY 11213.

The Clinical Supervisor for this transitional program will provide leadership and guidance to Case Managers around mental health and substance abuse issues, suicide prevention, psychiatric emergencies, crisis intervention, and consumer incidents. He/she will develop and maintain on site supportive services including, but not limited to peer support groups, relapse prevention, housing and ADL groups, and health education. He/she will act as a liaison to the HASA-EPU around admissions and room closures. Ideal candidates must be Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). And have a minimum of three (3) years clinical experience with individuals with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse issues, mental illness, and history of homelessness Candidates should have a Minimum of two years supervisory experience required. Knowledge of the NYC HRA HASA entitlement system preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
  • CASAC or CASAC-T strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience with individuals with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse issues, mental illness, and history of homelessness required.
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience required. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of the NYC HRA HASA entitlement system preferred.
  • Experience in residential setting strongly preferred. Experience in group work, tenant organization, intake and assessment, co-occurring disorders, community outreach, and program development strongly preferred.
