About the Role:

Looking for a sharp and detail-driven Comptroller to join our team in New York, NY. This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee the financial health of a dynamic construction and building company. Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial standards
Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and financial institutions
Monitor job costing, project budgets, and construction financial reporting
Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience
Construction accounting experience required
Experience in construction, real estate, or contracting industry strongly preferred
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Procore, or similar platforms)
Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, and project-based accounting
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate financial data clearly to leadership and stakeholders
