About the Role:
Looking for a sharp and detail-driven Comptroller to join our team in New York, NY. This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee the financial health of a dynamic construction and building company. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial standards
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and financial institutions
  • Monitor job costing, project budgets, and construction financial reporting
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience
  • Construction accounting experience required 
  • Experience in construction, real estate, or contracting industry strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Procore, or similar platforms)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, and project-based accounting
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate financial data clearly to leadership and stakeholders
