Responsibilities
- Conceive, shoot, and edit short-form video from idea to publish with full ownership of the final product.
- Lead creative direction and develop a distinct storytelling point of view, rather than executing pre-defined briefs.
- Produce ~60% paid content designed to drive seasoning purchases, optimized for conversion and ROAS.
- Create ~40% restaurant content for New York and Las Vegas, capturing the food, ambiance, and dining experience.
- Tailor narratives to platform and funnel stage, from awareness to purchase-driving content.
- Shoot on location during live service in restaurant kitchens and dining rooms, adapting to real-time operations.
- Manage production pipeline: schedule shoots, organize footage, and deliver content quickly without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with marketing team to align video content with campaigns, product launches, and brand priorities.
**Location:** In person at New York City location, with periodic travel to Las Vegas (roughly one week per quarter) **Schedule:** Hybrid in-person role with evening and weekend shoots; not an always-on position—aligned with restaurant operations
Requirements
- Expert storytelling ability—proven capacity to build compelling narratives around food, products, or experiences that drive action.
- Excellent editing skills with a strong sense of pacing, sound, and platform-specific formats (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels).
- Capable of capturing usable footage on an iPhone; polished videography is a plus but not required.
- 3–5 years of experience creating content with direct exposure to paid social media—proven track record of end-to-end creative performance.
- Proficiency in editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere, or equivalent, and familiarity with Meta Ads Manager.
- Understanding of eCommerce creative—ability to differentiate between brand awareness and direct-response content.
- Strong sense of ownership and pride in every piece of content, from concept to publish.
- Genuine passion for food and a love for the restaurant experience.
- Flexibility with schedule—willing to shoot evenings and weekends due to live service operations.
- Appreciation for brand history and legacy, especially within a long-standing institution like Golden Steer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with motion graphics, social analytics platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Motion).
- Background in directing or briefing external creative talent.
- Familiarity with Canva.
