Textiles production & distribution company based in Staten Island NY, with production facilities in Egypt, is seeking an experienced and self-driven In-House Office Administrator to thrive in a fast-paced business. Must be able to adapt to changing demands and needs while maintaining composure and providing thoughtful suggestion for improvement.

Our product lines include: Bedding (sheets pillowcases, pillows, mattress pad, encasements, pillow tops, etc.), terry (all towel products), rugs, shower curtains, robes, slippers


**THIS POSITION IS BASED IN STATEN ISLAND, NY.  LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED.  RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION IS REQUIRED**


Duties to include, but not limited to;

· Receive & route all incoming calls; take inquiries

· Engage with all visitors

· Manage email correspondence for company

· Coordinate shipping though FedEx online, etc.; familiarity with using online portals

· Greet vendors; liaise with current clients

· Review incoming mail

· Prepare outgoing mail

· Communicate with Driver’s as needed

· Complete & communicate order status, customer requests, updates, inputs, etc.

· Fulfill “sample” requests

· Input & process orders; data entry

· Familiarity with warehouse management software a plus. Knowledge of Fishbowl ++

· Add new vendor accounts

· Interact with Sales Team


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Google Mail
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite preferred

Hours

· Monday – Friday

· Typical hours may be 9:00a-5:00pm


Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

· remain in a stationary position a predominant amount of time

· occasionally lift 15 pounds

· use keyboard, mouse and other computer peripherals

· use standard office equipment
