Dietary Supervisor - Long-Term Care Nursing Facility

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dietary Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Dietary Department at our long-term care nursing facility in Staten Island, NY.

• Supervise the daily operations of the Dietary Department
• Lead, train, schedule, and support dietary aides, cooks, and food service staff
• Ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician-prescribed diets and resident preferences
• Maintain compliance with Department of Health regulations, OSHA standards, and infection control policies
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and meal presentation
• Conduct kitchen inspections to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
• Assist with menu planning and special dietary accommodations in collaboration with the Registered Dietitian
• Manage inventory, food ordering, and supply levels
• Complete temperature logs, sanitation records, and department documentation
• Work closely with Nursing, Administration, and other departments to ensure excellent resident care

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in the Dietary Department of a nursing home or long-term care facility (Required)
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition standards
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and Department of Health regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Experience with scheduling and supervising dietary staff
