Oversees and directs the day-to-day operations of the Engineering / Plant Operations, including facilities management, construction projects, equipment maintenance/upgrades and administratively responsible for clinical Engineering Department. Ensures the operational reliability of the utility systems of the Hospital and its off-site locations. Ensures compliance with all Hospital, local, state, federal and regulatory agencies requirements related to facilities management and construction.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering,
- Minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of experience, with five to seven (5-7) years of experience in the hospital setting.
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local regulations in associated field.
- Knowledge and understanding of all TJC Environment of Care Standards.
- Knowledge of Engineering and Engineering principles to ensure proper work product from staff and contracted service / construction vendors.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and supervisory skills.
- Proven ability to supervise staff, contract service and construction vendor activities.
