Overview

The Director, Strategy leads the development of integrated brand and experience strategy across portfolios, franchises, or therapeutic areas. This role directs brand positioning, messaging, and narrative development, and ensures those foundations are translated into cohesive, high-performing customer experiences across channels and touchpoints. The Director serves as senior strategist to clients and internal partners, guiding teams to deliver data driven, insight-led strategies that drive growth and differentiation. 


Responsibilities

•    Direct development of strategic imperatives, critical success factors, brand positioning, value propositions, messaging frameworks, and brand architecture. [Emma Gild2.1]
•    Champion the impact of brand building for the clients – reinforcing CoLab’s role as a commercial partner and ensuring proactive strategic support to clients. 
•    Define and guide integrated brand and experience strategy, ensuring alignment between brand intent, customer needs, and business objectives. 
•    Translate brand strategy into experience principles, journeys, and omnichannel engagement frameworks that guide execution. 
•    Serve as day to day strategist to clients, shaping go-to-market direction and facilitating key strategic decisions. 
•    Partner with Creative, Media, Data, and Technology leadership to ensure brand and experience strategy inform execution from concept through activation. 
•    Ensure consistency and stewardship of brand meaning, tone, and expression across experiences, touchpoints, and engagement moments. 
•    Contribute and potentially lead high-stakes presentations, workshops, and working sessions with senior client stakeholders. 
•    Contribute to agency thought-leadership and big ideas thinking
•    Mentor and develop strategy talent, setting standards for strategic rigor, clarity, and integrated brand + CX thinking. 


Qualifications

•    5+ years of experience in brand strategy, experience strategy, or integrated planning. 
•    Demonstrated ability to lead positioning, messaging, and experience strategy for complex brands.
•    Strong leadership, facilitation, and storytelling skills; comfort influencing senior stakeholders.
•    Strong desire to work within a healthcare agency culture where creativity is viewed as everyone’s responsibility.
•    Curiosity and adaptability in applying AI to improve workflows.
•    Deep experience[Dora Rive3.1] in healthcare or regulated categories is required or strongly preferred and a strong desire to break the mold of traditional pharma advertising

Compensation Range: USD $106,780.00 - USD $170,937.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
