Director of Digital Asset Platforms

Role Overview

Global X is seeking an experienced leader to serve as the Director of Digital Asset Platforms, responsible for designing and executing the firm’s digital asset and tokenization platform strategy. The role will lead the development of institutional-grade infrastructure supporting tokenized ETFs, on‑chain investment products, and next‑generation fund distribution capabilities.

The position sits at the intersection of traditional asset management, capital markets, and blockchain-based financial infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with product, portfolio management, legal, compliance, technology and operations teams to develop scalable digital platforms that integrate with existing ETF operational and distribution frameworks while positioning Global X as a leader in next‑generation fund infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute Global X digital asset platform strategy, including infrastructure supporting tokenized ETFs and digital investment products

• Design tokenization frameworks enabling on‑chain representation of regulated investment funds

• Evaluate blockchain networks, smart contract standards, digital custody providers, and tokenization infrastructure

• Develop digital platforms supporting investor onboarding, wallet connectivity and reporting

• Collaborate with product, portfolio management, and capital markets teams to structure digitally native investment vehicles

• Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure digital asset initiatives meet evolving regulatory requirements

• Oversee integration between traditional ETF systems (fund administration, transfer agents, market makers) and digital asset infrastructure

• Build strategic partnerships with blockchain infrastructure providers, fintech platforms, and institutional market participants

• Lead cross‑functional initiatives across engineering, product management, operations, and digital strategy

• Develop the long‑term roadmap for digital asset capabilities including tokenized securities issuance and on‑chain lifecycle management

• Partner with global affiliates within Mirae Asset network to explore cross-border digital asset initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in asset management, fintech, digital assets, or financial technology infrastructure

• Strong understanding of the ETF ecosystem including creation/redemption mechanics, distribution channels, and capital markets structure

• Experience building digital asset platforms, tokenization infrastructure, or blockchain‑based financial systems

• Familiarity with blockchain networks, smart contracts, token standards, digital custody, and digital securities

• Proven leadership managing cross‑functional teams across product, technology, and operations

• Ability to translate emerging technologies into scalable institutional investment platforms

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior leadership and external partners

Compensation

• $200,000-$225,000 plus annual bonus
