About the Role:
Project Redirect Inc of the District is looking for a driven and experienced Director of Operations to lead and elevate our organizational performance in Queens, NY. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily operational functions across all departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and strategic plans aligned with organizational goals
- Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams to drive performance and accountability
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare operational reports for senior leadership
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and cost-control measures to maximize organizational impact
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funding agencies
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and organizational policies
- Identify operational challenges and implement continuous improvement strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management
- Proven track record of managing budgets, staff, and multi-departmental operations
- Experience in nonprofit, community services, or social services sectors is a strong plus
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in operational software, data management, and reporting tools
- Strong understanding of compliance, grant management, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborative, mission-driven leader with a passion for community impact
