Our family shelters are safe, welcoming spaces where families can stay temporarily while they work toward long-term stability. Program staff provide compassionate support, life-enhancing services, and community-based resources to help empower each family. Together, we guide families on their journey back to independence and into permanent housing.
RESPONSIBILITIES聽
- Oversee all program components, including staff orientation, training and development: client assessment, service plan development and progress: relationships with other community-based organizations; and components specific to the site and population聽
- Ensure all departments meet contractual goals and reporting requirements聽
- Monitor program progress and submit all required reports to funding sources, including government and private sources聽
- Submit internal progress report to Residence Director and/or Executive Director on a monthly basis.聽
- Prepare proposals for development, expansion and continuation of programs in coordination with Residence Director聽
- Hold monthly individual supervision meetings with staff and group meetings as necessary聽
- Monitor staff performance, including performing case reviews and structured observations聽
- Participate in, and encourage staff to become involved in agency events聽
- Oversee all parts of social services (case management, client navigator, social workers, and recreation) ensuring uniform quality of services and compliance with regulatory agencies.聽
- Intervene in major crisis with clients, staff and agencies, ensuring well-being and compliance with laws and government regulations.聽
- Implement goals for relocating the maximum number of homeless migrant families to appropriate permanent housing.聽
- Prepare social services statistics and reports for performance analysis and program planning.聽
- Formulate and implement social services policies and procedures.聽
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Residence Director聽
QUALIFICATIONS聽
- LMSW (Master of Social Work + Licensure)聽
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience聽
- Proficiency in modern business communications including personal computers, electronic mail, voicemail, facsimile, and copier equipment聽
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS聽
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills聽
- Strong writing and oral communication skills聽
- Strong presentation skills and ability to represent the agency at functions and meetings聽
- Ability to collect and analyze client demographics and outcome聽
- Excellent organizational, teambuilding and leadership skills聽
- Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods聽
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds聽
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time聽
- Ability to climb five flights of stairs, if required to conduct home visits and/or fieldwork聽
- Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents聽
- Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation 路 Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount
