Position Summary 

The Director of Third-Party Logistics (3PL) is responsible for driving the onboarding/offboarding, negotiations, financial controls, and operational excellence of the North America 3PLs. Reporting into the VP of Supply Chain, this role partners closely with the Order Management Director, Logistics Director, Business Leads, and Head Quarters, and manages the performance of third-party logistics (3PL) providers. The Director ensures smooth business operations by building strong partnerships, implementing robust controls, maintaining strong financial oversight, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing processes to support growth and customer satisfaction. 

Operational Leadership 

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify and onboard logistics partners to meet business needs.  
  • Manage and monitor 3PLs performance and compliance, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met. 
  • Drive initiatives that enhance cost, service, quality, and reduce operational risk. 

Financial Management 

  • Maintain strong control over logistics financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and investments. 
  • Ensure rigorous control of inventory at all sites delivering shrink reduction. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. 
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to streamline workflows and reduce costs. 

Team Leadership & Culture 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop diverse functions with direct or dotted line responsibilities. 
  • Foster collaboration across supply chain, finance, and operations teams. 
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. 
  • Promote an inclusive environment that aligns with company values and fosters high morale and collaboration. 

Strategic Initiatives & Innovation 

  • Streamline the logistics network by onboarding/offboarding partners to align with business objectives.  
  • Develop and execute logistics control strategies for North America 3PL operations. 
  • Identify areas for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and process optimization. 
  • Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience in logistics operations with leadership responsibility. 
  • Proven experience managing distribution centers or 3PL relationships. 
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management. 
  • Experience in the beauty, consumer goods or FMCG industries. 
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
