Location: BMI New York

Duration: Summer 2026 / June 1 – July 30, 2026

Department: Distribution & Administration Services 

Work Environment: This position is a hybrid role with expectations for 3 days onsite and 1 day remote. 

POSITION SUMMARY: The intern perform research on accounts with royalties that are on hold. Based on the research findings, the intern will update the account and take the necessary steps to release the royalties if applicable. Main goals: Data Integrity, Customer Service, Correct Royalty Allocation.  

 

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

 

  • Research accounts with invalid contact information
  • Determine if royalties were allocated correctly
  • Communicate with affiliates via sales force
  • Submit a SharePoint request digital form to have royalties distributed to the affiliate or submit an adjustment
  • Daily reporting to the program supervisor
  • Regular attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student. Must return to school in the Fall of 2026. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

 

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Strong time management and verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer Service skills
  • Preferred areas of study or interests: Communications, Music Business, Math.
