About Fluidstack

At Fluidstack, we build the compute, data centers, and power that will fuel artificial superintelligence. We work with Anthropic, Google, Meta, AMI Labs, and Black Forest Labs to deploy gigawatts of compute at industry defining speeds. We are investing tens of billions of dollars in US infrastructure. In 2026, we will deploy 1GW. In 2027, 10GW.

Our team is small, fast, and obsessed with quality. We own outcomes end-to-end, challenge assumptions, and treat our customers' problems as our own. No task is beneath anyone here.

There are a few thousand people who will shape the trajectory of superinteligence. Come and be one of them.

About the Role

Engineers at FluidStack work to design resilient, cost-effective electrical distribution systems that power our global GPU cloud infrastructure. As engineers at FluidStack, we are responsible for achieving world-class uptime for our AI and HPC customers who depend on us for their most demanding workloads. We justify and communicate technical decisions to senior leadership and continuously drive advancements in our data center designs. As an engineer at FluidStack, you have the ability to shape the infrastructure that leading AI companies rely on.

We are looking for engineers with hands-on electrical design experience. If you can design an electrical system, understand the critical equipment needs for a high-density GPU data center, and grasp the constructibility of varying designs, you may be a great fit. As we scale rapidly, we are building our team to own more engineering in-house. Engineers will be responsible for taking designs from concept through permit and construction document sets. You must be capable of defining critical equipment specifications and approving equipment submittals. Engineers will directly support construction and be involved throughout the full project lifecycle — from site selection review through commissioning and turnover. At FluidStack, we are committed to continued learning and the ongoing development of every member of our team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for FluidStack's high-density GPU data centers, collaborating across disciplines to produce complete construction document sets.

  • Deliver designs that meet our rigorous quality standards while staying aligned with project budgets and timelines.

  • Partner with commissioning teams to thoroughly test, validate, and document the installation and performance of electrical systems before handoff.

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across FluidStack's growing footprint, balancing priorities across different regions and time zones.

  • Travel to project sites as needed to conduct field reviews, support onsite engineers, perform electrical system audits, and assist with startup activities.

  • Bring creativity and a problem-solving mindset to every project - we want engineers who are excited to find smarter, better ways to build the infrastructure the AI era demands.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment

  • Hands on design experience

  • Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region

  • Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems

  • Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production

Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package (cash + equity).

  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.

The base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $270,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
