Engineering
Software engineering boils down to two broad questions:Â
- What products, features, and platforms should we build?Â
- How are we going to build them?
Many organizations only expect their software engineers to grapple with “how”, delegating the question of “what” to executives, product managers, and senior tech leads.
Not at Sphinx. Here, we believe engineers should drive all stages of product development, from conception to deployment. Our engineers must have the creativity to think of new initiatives, as well as the talent to implement them quickly. We believe that only by mastering both “what” and “how” can an engineer reach their full potential.
We’re building the future of AI for data scientists, and we’re looking for engineers with a variety of skillsets to join our team. Recent projects include:
- Improving our agent’s ability to interact with existing data warehouses by building AI-searchable indices
- Inventing new frontend interfaces for notebooks that build off of Jupyter
- Creating a backend infrastructure that supports high-scale and on-premise agentic deployments
