The Role

Are you resourceful, detail-oriented, and always thinking a few steps ahead? Do you thrive on the energy of live events and enjoy bringing all the details together behind the scenes?

Cloudsmith is looking for an Event Marketing Coordinator to help deliver high-impact events across the US while supporting select programs in Europe. You’ll help create polished, engaging experiences that strengthen our brand, connect us with the right audiences, and support pipeline growth.

This is a hands-on role for someone who moves quickly, takes ownership, and enjoys managing multiple projects at once. You’ll work closely with teams across Marketing, Sales, Design, and Engineering to keep programs organized, on brand, and focused on results. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of major industry conferences, community events, partner activations, speaking engagements, and executive experiences.

  • Coordinate the full event lifecycle, from planning, budgeting, vendor management, and promotion to staffing, travel, onsite execution, and post-event follow-up.

  • Manage event budgets, expenses, invoices, sponsorships, contracts, deliverables, and key deadlines.

  • Develop event communications and promotional copy, including registration pages, invitations, reminder emails, social promotion, attendee communications, and follow-up.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, ABM, Campaigns, Partnerships, Product Marketing, PR, and other teams to align events with target accounts, campaign priorities, and business goals.

  • Coordinate the production of branded event materials, including signage, booth assets, presentations, digital content, and promotional items.

  • Help drive attendance through targeted invitations, internal outreach, partner promotion, and registration tracking.

  • Research events, venues, vendors, sponsorship opportunities, and creative program concepts.

  • Maintain organized event records, calendars, vendor contacts, inventory, and post-event learnings.

  • Track event performance, compile post-event reports, and identify opportunities to improve future programs.

  • Travel regularly to support onsite execution and deliver a polished, consistent experience for attendees, partners, and internal teams.

Required Experience, Qualities & Skills

This role is ideal for someone who brings:

  • 2-3 years of experience in event coordination, event marketing, tradeshow support, field marketing, or a related role.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience coordinating event logistics, timelines, vendors, stakeholders, and multiple workstreams at once.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, engaging event and attendee communications.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a proactive, ownership-oriented approach and the ability to anticipate needs and move projects forward independently.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay adaptable, solutions-focused, and composed as priorities change.

  • A collaborative, professional working style and confidence partnering across functions, time zones, and levels of seniority in a fast-paced remote environment.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Asana, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion, or the ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • The ability and willingness to travel regularly within the US, and occasionally internationally, to support events onsite, up to 25%.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working for a B2B SaaS, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevOps, or developer tools company.

  • Experience supporting programs designed for technical audiences, including developers, platform engineers, DevOps teams, or security professionals.

  • Familiarity with event performance reporting, lead management, and marketing attribution.

  • Experience coordinating international events or working with distributed global teams.

Impact & Opportunity

This role offers the chance to make a visible impact on how Cloudsmith shows up in the market and connects with the technical communities and enterprise buyers we care about most. You’ll help turn event strategy into polished experiences that build brand awareness, create meaningful engagement, and contribute to pipeline growth.

You’ll have meaningful ownership from day one, with exposure to major industry events, strategic partners, executive programs, and teams across the business. As Cloudsmith grows, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities, develop your event marketing expertise, and help shape how our global events program scales.

Benefits, Location & Work Environment

Note: You must be based in the USA and have the right to work independently without requiring sponsorship.

  • A position based in the Eastern Time Zone, USA.

  • A competitive compensation package, including equity.

  • With comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Plus, generous annual leave and flexible working policies to suit your lifestyle.

  • Including a professional development budget for conferences and training.

  • In a dynamic, innovative, trust-centric, and supportive work environment.

  • With the opportunity to shape a fast-growing Series C startup (and beyond).

  • This role requires regular domestic travel for events, typically around once per month, plus international travel for two company offsites per year.

Health and Wellness

Regardless of your location, we deeply care about the health and wellness of our staff and their families; a sustainable pace is important to us. In addition to generous annual leave (PTO), we offer health and wellbeing benefits along with flexible family-friendly working policies.

Personal Growth

You will have an enormous opportunity to learn new skills alongside your colleagues, and your continued professional development is essential to us because it's important to you. We will support you with budgets for equipment, training, books, conferences, travel, and certifications. The more powerful you become, the better for all of us.

Facilities

Cloudsmith is headquartered in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with fully-equipped office space that’s open 24x7. We use our H.Q. regularly for activities like working sessions, team planning, meets and greets, and sometimes other group activities (like games!). We also hold all-hands offsites in Belfast twice yearly, with guest speakers and team activities. Since many Cloudsmithers work remotely, we rely heavily on online collaboration tools. Platforms like Slack, Google Docs, and Asana are essential to how we work together.

About Equal Opportunity

Cloudsmith is an equal-opportunity employer proud to nurture a diverse workplace that welcomes applications from individuals of all races, genders, and ethnic groups. We do not discriminate on age, religion, sexual orientation, citizenship status, military service, or health conditions. We will not tolerate discrimination of any kind within our workforce.

The Final Word

We’re looking for someone who can balance creativity with execution, manage a lot of moving pieces, and take pride in the small details that make great events happen. Someone who is eager to learn, ready to take ownership, and willing to roll up their sleeves when needed.

If you’re excited to grow your career in event marketing while helping build a global events program at a fast-growing developer-focused company, we want to hear from you.
