Now Hiring: Facilities Technician – New Britain, CT

Pay: $17.00 per hour | Full-Time | Approximately 40 Hours per Week

This position is responsible for general facility upkeep, preventative maintenance, and supporting operational efficiency across the location.

This position requires maintaining equipment and facilities in compliance with all applicable regulations and company preventive maintenance programs.

Facilities Technician Responsibilities

  • Inspect and repair facility components and systems under general supervision

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and facility systems

  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections

  • Complete minor mechanical repairs and assist with installation of new systems or components

  • Maintain facility cleanliness including offices, restrooms, and common areas

  • Support yard and outdoor maintenance as needed

  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of non-hazardous and hazardous materials

  • Maintain equipment in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

  • Identify and report safety hazards, ensuring a safe working environment

  • Assist with general facility upkeep tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1–2 years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred

  • Broad knowledge of maintenance disciplines including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

  • Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and effectively

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Electrician or welding experience/licensing is a plus

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or materials as needed

  • Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with maintenance and repair work
