Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Family Office Services Analyst. In this role, you will support Private Banking by handling Bill Pay, Financial Projections, and Capital Call Services requests from the Front Office and clients. You will ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining a high standard of excellence. You will interact with key internal stakeholders across the firm and work closely with Front Office teams, Compliance, Risk, and other teams within Capital Partners Operations and Administration. You will also drive continuous workflow enhancements to increase efficiency and address control gaps.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  

Bill Pay/Capital Call Onboarding, Opening, and Maintenance

  • Liaise with the Front Office once new business has been won to begin the onboarding process and gain a clear understanding of the types of bills to be paid and the required documentation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on all matters related to Bill Pay.
  • Analyze payments to ensure proper documentation is obtained from clients.
  • Liaise with third-party investment advisors to ensure access and proper setup for Capital Call Services. 

Client Service

  • Develop strong working relationships with Front Office Relationship teams and other Private Banking support groups.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for issues.
  • Address client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Use sound judgment to resolve problems.
  • Escalate urgent and critical issues to management when necessary.

Bill Payment/eMoney/Capital Call Services

  • Set up payments by leveraging Bill.com’s ACH network.
  • Troubleshoot, research, and resolve break items.
  • Gain an understanding of each type of cash movement (ACH, check, and wire) and how to resolve related issues.
  • Ensure client bills are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process capital calls for clients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Run and validate client financial projection reports.
  • Act as an escalation point for more junior team members.

Process/Productivity Improvement

  • Identify efficiencies to improve individual productivity.
  • Gain an understanding of the big picture and how specific functions impact the firm.
  • Communicate professionally and constructively to resolve issues effectively and minimize risk and exposure.
  • Assess current processes and provide suggestions for streamlining when necessary.
  • Work on small ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2+ years of experience supporting family office services
  • Ability to design efficient workflows.
  • Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve problems and issues.
  • Ability to communicate professionally through effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates effective time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Proactive, goal-oriented self-starter.
  • Possesses an understanding of AML/KYC.
  • Demonstrates risk awareness and the ability to identify red flags.
  • Solid understanding of Bill.com and eMoney is a plus.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

This role is based in our New York City location and is a hybrid role, with a minimum of three days per week in office.

   

Salary Range

$70k-$90k base salary + annual bonus target

BBH and its affiliates' compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
