The Financial Analyst I plays an important role in supporting sound financial decision-making by analyzing data, monitoring performance, and providing insights that help advance MSK’s strategic and operational objectives.Â
Role OverviewÂ
Support the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial results, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.Â
Collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources to identify trends and key performance indicators.Â
Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models to support business planning and decision-making.Â
Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for departmental leaders and stakeholders.Â
Monitor expenses, revenues, and budget performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.Â
Partner with finance team members and operational departments to gather information and resolve financial discrepancies.Â
Contribute to month-end and year-end financial processes, including reconciliations and reporting activities.Â
Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis, data interpretation, and recommendations.Â
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.Â
Key QualificationsÂ
Demonstrated understanding of fundamental financial and accounting principles.Â
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions.Â
Experience working with financial systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, or reporting tools is preferred.Â
Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively.Â
