Fireman/Mechanic - Rotating shifts - Weekends

Under the supervision of the Boiler Room Foreman, you will maintain, operate, and repair all Boiler Room equipment, including boilers, pumps, compressors, fans, heaters, and turbines. 

This position will work 5 shifts per week as follows:

Friday and Saturday - Midnight to 8:00 am

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

The Fireman Mechanic will also be required to work other shifts as needed for coverage by the department.

Required Criteria

• Highschool diploma or GED
• 2 years of experience in high pressure Boiler Room operation and equipment maintenance, or equivalent work experience with high pressure steam equipment at NYP

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
