The Forecaster – Healthcare Market Research position is a specialized role that blends healthcare medical device and technology expertise with forecasting analytics to support healthcare decision-making. The role leverages statistical modeling, market intelligence, and healthcare industry knowledge to predict trends, assess market potential, and guide strategic initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Analysis: Oversee primary and secondary research to understand HCP and patient needs and preferences, competitor activities, and healthcare market dynamics 
  • Forecasting & Modeling: Design, develop and maintain statistical and econometric models to project market growth, product adoption, and sales potential in healthcare sectors 
  • Data Analysis: Identify, Source and analyze historical and current healthcare market data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with insights, data analytics, marketing, sales, product development, and healthcare operations teams to align forecasts with business strategy 
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations for executives and stakeholders, highlighting forecast accuracy and implications 
  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform market entry, expansion, or product positioning 
  • Model Validation: Test forecast accuracy, refining models, and ensure they remain relevant to evolving market conditions 

 

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS) and data analysis tools 
  • Experience in market research methodologies (primary/secondary, surveys, focus groups, competitive analysis) 
  • Understanding of healthcare market structures, reimbursement models, and regulatory environments specific to medical devices, diagnostics and technologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $180,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
