About the Role

This is a rare ground-floor opportunity to join a well-funded, early-stage AI SaaS company and help build one of the most talent-dense teams in New York City. As the Founding GTM Recruiter, you'll work directly with the founding team, own critical searches end-to-end, and play a defining role in shaping how the company sources, attracts, and closes top talent.

The right person is genuinely passionate about recruiting as a craft — eager to master sourcing, candidate experience, and closing, while also learning how recruiting intersects with strategy, operations, and culture. What You'll Do

• Partner closely with leadership to identify and prioritize hiring needs across engineering, product, and design.

• Build and maintain a world-class candidate pipeline sourced from top startups and high-growth companies.

• Drive creative sourcing strategies — outbound research, leveraging networks, attending events, and engaging talent communities.

• Develop a deep understanding of candidate motivations and startup dynamics to identify and attract the right people.

• Own a high-touch candidate experience from first outreach through offer close.

• Design and build the recruiting engine and processes that will scale with the company.

What We're Looking For

Required

• 2–5 years of recruiting or sourcing experience, with a proven track record at startups or early-stage companies.

• Prior agency experience or direct in-house startup sourcing/recruiting experience.

• Experience sourcing for technical roles (engineers, product managers) and design roles.

• Proven ability to run effective closing discussions and deliver a high-touch candidate experience.

• Strong communication and research skills; ability to craft compelling outreach.

• Highly organized, resourceful, and motivated by building in a fast-paced environment.

• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

• Willing and able to work on-site in New York City.

Nice to Have

• Experience recruiting across multiple functions simultaneously (engineering, product, design, GTM).

• Background working at or recruiting for AI or vertical SaaS companies.

• Existing talent networks in the NYC startup ecosystem.
