Looking for a friendly front desk agent to join our team at Home2 Suites by Hilton Manhattan View Long Island City NY!
Administration
路 Register and assign rooms to guests.
路 Issue room key and escort instructions to Guest Service Agent or directly to guest.
路 Sort and track incoming mail and messages.
路 Transmit and receive messages using all communication avenues.
路 Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
路 Keep record of room availability and rate.
路 Compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests.
路 Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via all communication avenues.
路 Post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to guest bill if interface is inoperable.
路 Make reservation, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guest.
路 Deposit guest valuables in hotel safe deposit box.
路 Ability to accurately use various office software.
路 Have a full working knowledge and expertise of each shift including night audit.
Support
路 Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
路 Ability to accurately report information.
路 Ability to assist with various office tasks as needed.
路 Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.
路 Attend required meetings.

Requirements
路 Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
路 Must have good mathematical and computer skills.
路 High school education required. Relevant training and experience and additional education preferred.
路 CPR and first aid training preferred.
路 Additional language ability preferred.
Physical Requirements
路 Minimum lifting of 20 pounds.
路 Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
路 Hearing, writing, typing.
路 Minimum pulling of 20 pounds.
路 Other duties may be assigned.
