HN437 - Executive Housekeeper - Brooklyn, NY

Overview

A private family seeks an experienced, highly polished Executive Housekeeper to oversee the day-to-day operation and care of their apartment in Brooklyn. This is a long-term position for a proactive, hands-on professional who takes pride in maintaining a home to the highest standards while helping manage household operations. The schedule is Monday through Friday 10am-6pm. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The role starts as soon as a great long-term fit is found.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of the residence• Deep cleaning and detailed care of all rooms and surfaces• Care of artwork, fine furnishings, and specialty materials• Laundry (including dry cleaning pick up/drop off; potentially ironing if a candidate can iron)• Household organization and inventory management• Grocery shopping and household errands as needed• Letting in vendors as needed and communicating with them• Develop, implement, and maintain household cleaning schedules and operating procedures• Ensure the property is consistently maintained at the highest standards• Prepare the home for family use, guests, and special events

• There is a terrace that would need sweeping

• There might be minimal plant care (watering)

• Comfortable with stairs

Requirements

• Experience working in a private residence, long-term work history in each role preferred and prioritized• Exceptional housekeeping and organizational skills• Strong attention to detail• Experience managing service providers• Discreet, professional, and trustworthy• Comfortable working around pets (1 cat and sometimes 1 dog in the household)• Ability to work independently and anticipate household needs

• Able to read, write, and communicate in English very well

• Comfortable with email, Google Calendar, and texting. Comfortable with Google Suite (Google Suite [now officially called Google Workspace] is a collection of cloud-based productivity, communication, and collaboration tools created by Google. It bundles popular apps like Gmail, Docs, Drive, and Calendar into a single platform)

Salary and Benefits

• Competitive compensation based on experience. Target range of approximately $45-$65 per hour• Benefits package including health insurance, paid vacation, most holidays off, and paid sick days in accordance with NY law
