Instrumentation and Monitoring Program Manager

SRE Engineering is seeking an Instrumentation and Monitoring Program Manager to support construction management services on an upcoming NYC DEP infrastructure project. This role is central to keeping the site safe throughout construction.

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement an instrumentation and monitoring program for close geotechnical monitoring of the site
  • Track site conditions throughout the duration of construction to ensure stability and safety are never compromised
  • Coordinate monitoring data and findings with the Construction Manager, Resident Engineer, and DEP technical staff
  • Flag deviations early and recommend corrective actions before they become safety issues
What you bring

  • Background in geotechnical engineering, dam safety, or instrumentation monitoring on heavy civil or water infrastructure projects
  • Previous DEP experience preferred 
  • Experience with embankment or slope monitoring instrumentation (piezometers, inclinometers, settlement monuments, or similar)
  • Comfort working on an active DEP site alongside a construction management team
  • Reliable personal vehicle required, as this role requires site travel
