Responsibilities
- Investigate complex cases and conduct deep analysis of potential threats to minors, primarily surrounding child sexual exploitation, that may manifest on Meta technologies
- Investigate potential safety issues involving minors and how they impact Meta, our products and our communities, with a focus on understanding how bad actors may try to target minors and vulnerable populations
- Independently manage concurrent analyses, prioritizing based on threat severity, impact, and deadlines
- Identify sources of abusive behavior, quickly and accurately assessing the credibility of potential threats in order to mitigate risk of harm
- Work cross-functionally with other analytic and investigative teams across the company, including collaborating with Policy, Engineering and Integrity partners to improve the detection of behavior that violates our Community Standards
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize relevant data to identify potential abuse
- Work with graphic and sensitive content on a regular basis
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Ability to work independently under high pressure situations and make sound decisions with little to no supervision
- 8+ years of professional experience in investigations or analysis in law enforcement, security, risk, or safety domains
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills combined with the ability to quickly assess large amounts of data in order to detect critical and credible information
- BA/BS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent
- Subject matter knowledge on child safety issues, especially pertaining to various social media platforms, analytical tools, and online research tools
- Experience working with sensitive issues that include graphic violence, graphic content and/or CSAM
- Experience and inclination to protect highly confidential information
- Investigative or analytical experience related to online harms against children and vulnerable populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in languages other than English, as the role may involve reviewing content or collaborating with teams in non-English-speaking regions
- Experience conducting open source investigations and/or investigations on behalf of a technology company
- Experience conducting child safety investigations, or similar, on behalf of a technology company
- Experience working with a team spanning multiple locations/time zones
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data analytics programming coding languages and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
$141,000/year to $199,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
