POSITION SUMMARYÂ
Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team in the NYC headquarters.  The Junior Accountant responsibilities will include all aspects of the general ledger and month-end closing.  This is a deadline-driven environment, as strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills are required. Â
This position will be on a Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the New York City office located at 25 Madison Ave.Â
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Preparation of all intercompany invoicesÂ
Recording of monthly journal entriesÂ
Provide feedback to manager on ways to enhance and streamline the invoicing processÂ
Daily monitoring of the AP clearing accountsÂ
Preparation of analysis schedulesÂ
Preparation of bank reconciliationsÂ
Assist with the monthly accounting closeÂ
Assist with special projects which may ariseÂ
Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined aboveÂ
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITIONÂ
Your qualifications and experience should include: Â
BS Degree in Accounting requiredÂ
1-2 years Accounting experienceÂ
Experienced in SAP Accounting softwareÂ
Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skillsÂ
Must have strong analytical and communication skillsÂ
Adaptable and willing to work in a changing environment where continued process improvement is expectedÂ
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is requiredÂ
Driven, self-motivated, deadline-drive and goal orientedÂ

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $78,000. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.  Â
