Job Title: Manager, Data and Analytics
Job Summary:
CASES is seeking a Manager, Data and Analytics for a New York City-based hybrid role supporting ACES. The Manager, Data and Analytics is to play a pivotal role in shaping, implementing, and overseeing the data strategy for the expansion of the Assertive Community Engagement & Success (ACES) program. ACES serves young men ages 16-24 residing in Harlem and the Bronx who are navigating high-risk environments, violence exposure, and system involvement, and who voluntarily engage with the program to build pathways for long-term success. As ACES expands to Brooklyn and Queens, the Manager, Data and Analytics, will be responsible for developing a comprehensive data infrastructure that supports program implementation, performance monitoring, continuous quality improvement, reporting, and evaluation.
The Manager will supervise an analyst and oversee the development of data products, dashboards, reports, and analytic tools that support internal decision-making and external reporting. The role will manage data systems, reporting processes, and evaluation-related data to ensure accurate, timely, and well-organized information for program and stakeholder needs.
This position requires regular in-person presence in Brooklyn and is intended for candidates who live within commuting distance.
Salary: The salary for the Manager, Data and Analytic is $80,000.00 per year.
Shift Hours: This position is full-time working Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid - This is a hybrid New York City role based in Brooklyn, NY. Candidates must live within commutable distance and be able to attend in-person meetings, trainings, and team sessions as needed.
What you will be doing:
- Build deep knowledge of ACES program operations by participating in regular in-person meetings, observing day-to-day work, and engaging directly with managers, youth workers, and participants
- Provide hands-on management, training, coaching, technical and administrative oversight of the analyst to deliver high quality data solutions
- Coach and support managers and staff in interpreting data insights, applying them to day-to-day program decisions, and embedding data-informed practices into routine operations to improve service delivery and outcomes
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify optimal solutions for data management, reporting, and analytics.
- Create and develop visualizations and dashboards to showcase monthly, year-to-date, and annual program performance data
- Conduct analysis on key program metrics, client populations, and operational outcomes to improve understanding of program trends and performance, thereby facilitating data-driven decision-making
- Execute database and electronic health record queries to extract program datasets for analysis, addressing the needs of the executive team, program staff, program leadership, and external requests from funders, government oversight agencies, policymakers, and other stakeholders
- Develop automated data reports to analyze program performance against contract goals, organizational priorities and goals, and set protocols for performance invoicing, metrics projection analysis, and performance management
- Participate in program planning with participants, youth workers, program directors and senior and executive leadership by contributing insights about program data
- Interpret, understand, and present analytics results to various teams including program, leadership, executive, external government stakeholders, with a strong focus on data storytelling and actionable insights
- Develop quality assurance tracking systems to support staff to identify and rectify missing or inaccurate data, contributing to continuous quality improvement efforts aimed at enhancing program and client outcomes
What we are looking for:
- Master’s degree in related field and at least 2 years of experience as a senior data analyst, or
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with at least 3-5 years of experience as a senior data analyst working with relational databases
- 1+ year of supervisory experience
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Advanced functions, Get and Transform), proficiency in other products in MS Suite required
- Superior communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and remain highly organized
- Be comfortable in situations when asked to lead projects
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- Commitment to social justice and knowledge of NYC criminal justice system and alternatives to incarceration programs
- This position requires regular in-person presence in Brooklyn and is intended for candidates who live within commuting distance
Additional, preferred skills we are looking for but are not required:
- Salesforce experience highly preferred; Salesforce certified professional a plus
- Experience with Power BI a plus
- Experience with SQL, SPSS (or other statistical software) a plus
- Project management experience preferred
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multitask while adhering to deadlines
