The Weber Shandwick team is seeking a Manager of Earned Media with exceptional earned strategy and media relations prowess to support clients in our Corporate Advisory Practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate and brand reputation-building communications, driving executive visibility and though-leadership and executing earned and integrated media strategy across various corporate sectors.

Responsibilities 

Integrated Media Strategy:
Plays an important role in contributing to the development and execution of integrated media strategies for major corporate campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, and product launches.
Understands the industry landscape and issues that may directly and indirectly impact our corporate clients, integrating these insights into strategic planning.

Strategic Media Relations:
Builds and maintains excellent relationships with key corporate, business and financial media 
Creatively and proactively develops media programs, and drafts compelling story angles that resonate with target business audiences utilizing the latest AI technology tools.
Takes responsibility for executing media relations strategies, developing proposals, press releases, LinkedIn/social executive copy, bylined articles, and other press materials.
Trendspots the current news cycle and cultural landscape for ad hoc media opportunities and proactively pitch compelling ideas for corporate storytelling and executive visibility efforts.
Analyzes and distills meaningful insights from media coverage, sharing perspectives with both internal teams and clients to inform media strategy.

Client Counsel & Collaboration:
Brings a client-focused attitude that results in work being performed to the highest quality standards
Serves as a key day-to-day client contact, participate in meetings and presentations, communicating with clients on a daily basis and providing thoughtful client counsel.
Conducts and manages the flow of research and work materials necessary to analyze complex client issues.
Proofs and edits client-related documents to ensure the highest quality standards.

Team & Agency Support:
Mentors, coaches, and develops direct reports and more junior team members, helping to cultivate their skills and drive results.
Cultivates and participates in new business opportunities and pitches, contributing to the growth of the Corporate Advisory practice.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
3 to 4 years of experience in a PR/communications role(s), preferably within an agency setting.
1 to 2 years of experience managing/leading small groups and projects.
Strong earned strategy and media relations experience with a reporter relationship roster, specifically supporting clients with relevant subject matter expertise.
