POSITION SUMMARYĀ
Sony Corporation of America (SCA)Ā is seeking a Manager, International TaxĀ Compliance,Ā to join the Global Tax OfficeĀ locatedĀ in New York City to supportĀ consolidationĀ team.Ā The Manager, International TaxĀ Compliance,Ā willĀ be responsible forĀ tax reporting and compliance including, but not limited to preparation and review of income tax provisions, preparation of income tax returns,Ā as well asĀ preparation and review of various tax projects. Primary focus for this position is international, but certain involvement in domesticĀ areaĀ is expected.āÆĀ

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESĀ
AssistĀ in reviewing and analysis of foreign income tax provision reporting for all foreign subsidiaries in the Sony Corporation of AmericaĀ consolidatedĀ group (including subsidiaries in foreign joint ventures)āÆĀ
Reviewing updates of pre-tax income/income tax for tax budgets, forecast and forecast updates for all foreign subsidiariesāÆĀ
Prepare income tax returns as required by the Internal Revenue Service (5471, 5472, 5713, 8858, 8865 & 1120F)āÆĀ
Maintain the Tax basis for all foreign subsidiariesāÆĀ
Calculate income inclusions as required by the Internal Revenue Code [Subpart F] and aware of US tax reform impacts suchĀ as,Ā GILTI and 163j.āÆĀ
Update and estimate earnings and profits of all foreign subsidiaries,Ā maintainĀ taxesĀ paid pools, as well as compute tested income or lossāÆĀ
Perform International compliance research and tax planning asĀ requiredāÆĀ
Interact with business units as tax liaison to ensure that all material tax issues areĀ identified, and tax benefits/costs/risks are evaluated and addressedāÆĀ
Coordinate andĀ assistĀ with Parent company accounting groupās requestsāÆĀ
Perform other duties as assignedāÆĀ

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITIONĀ
Your qualifications and experience should include:āÆĀ
AĀ Bachelorās degree in Accounting or FinanceĀ andĀ minimumĀ of 6Ā yearsĀ International Tax Experience in Public Accounting and/or Private Industry isĀ required.āÆĀ
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/orĀ Masterās degree in taxation, or equivalent experience is desiredāÆĀ
Federal and state income tax experience is a plusāÆĀ
Effective verbal and written communication skills and high degree of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines in a time sensitive environmentāÆĀ
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)āÆĀ
Hands-onĀ working knowledge ofĀ Corp taxĀ or similar tax softwareāÆĀ
Entertainment industryĀ knowledgeĀ plusāÆĀ
Must work well as an individual contributor and be a team playerāÆĀ
