Description

The role of Dr.Jart+ Product Marketing and Education Manager is an essential role in North America. This role not only develops the innovation calendar and product assortment strategy for the region, but the manager also will own all education strategy in the region.

Product Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute winning portfolio growth strategy in skincare informed by deep knowledge of consumer, trends, competitor landscape, and business priorities
  • Manage innovation and hero commercialization strategy in partnership with the go-to- market Consumer Engagement team.
  • Lead A+ product launches in the region from start to finish. Responsibilities include:
    • Partnering with global to provide feedback on innovation development and influence whitespace opportunities within NOAM, ensuring the final product has a strong point of differentiation against the competition and a strong benefit value proposition to the consumer.
    • Strategically managing the launch calendar with input from the commercial team to ensure net sales growth of innovation year over year.
    • Managing the forecast process in partnership with the commercial team, including regional sizing & mapping business case opportunities
    • Executing the SRP analysis in partnership with finance team to ensure strong gross profit with every launch
    • Project managing the launch calendar—owning critical path in partnership with Global GBSC and SCM management to ensure on time and on budget delivery of goods
    • Develop the product positioning in the region, developing the messaging hierarchy and campaign cadence to ensure consistent messaging across all consumer touch points.
    • Support the visual merchandising process, partnering with creative, copy and commercial to update the in store linear presentation quarterly.
    • Support GTM Consumer Engagement team by ensuring claims accuracy across all consumers facing touch points and activations
  • Manage the sample strategy for the region—partner with the global team to annual sample offering, manage the sample budget across all teams including the allocation and excess management.
  • Manage annual pricing strategy for the brand in the region, work with corporate pricing team and global marketing to achieve targets and manage communication to retailers.
  • Identify North America strategic market opportunities and partner with Global, and cross functional teams to develop market specific elements
  • Analyze competitors and market trends to inform commercial innovation and new launch strategies and influence global programs.
  • Influence Sephora in the kitchen discussions in collaboration with Commercial & Global teams
  • Partner with the commercial team to develop retailer specific set requests and brand.com to develop exclusive limited life products
  • Analyze business results and marketing program effectiveness post execution.  Translate learnings to inform future program development

Short Description

Education Responsibilities:

  • Evolve Dr. Jart+ Education Content Strategy to reflect prestige positioning and evolving K-Beauty trends/landscape
  • Create North America education strategy leveraging global toolkit and edit as needed for regional nuances. Create content for Sephora Daily Dose Program and operate as the main point of contact for the Brand with Sephora Education department.  
  • Work in partnership with the commercial and digital teams to inform product page content strategy & digital training materials for the field
  • Facilitate product knowledge training to Field Sales & Operations Executive and partner to cascade to the field and freelance teams.
  • Work in partnership with Field Sales & Operations Executive on development of “train-the-trainer” tools to help the field deliver successful education visits and support new store opening trainings.
  • Act as education partner expert for internal Dr.Jart+ team, external retailers and brand.com partners.
  • Present special event programs to internal teams and retailers when appropriate.
  • Pilot new concepts and ideas and identify key learnings and opportunities
  • Operate as a key partner to the Field Sales Operations team to support training initiatives and seasonal onboardings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field required
  • 5+ years in beauty product marketing, beauty education or brand management required, experience in skincare a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail orientation—must draw insights and conclusions from data trends and develop product marketing action plans from insights
  • Extensive NPD experience required—must have strong understanding of the competitive landscape and the North America Beauty consumer and trends
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills required: will need to effectively collaborate across functions within the brand, the region, and the organization to drive outcomes
  • Strong communication skills to present to senior management, field teams and retailers
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, good judgment, and ability to work independently
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively and conceptualize and implement new ideas
  • Flexibility required to manage a constantly developing initiative
