Overview

The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator to help build and run our growing research and education program. This is a central, administrative position responsible for keeping our studies compliant, funded, and on schedule, while supporting the smooth operation of our labs and educational events.


Responsibilities

  • Manage clinical trials from start to finish, including protocol adherence, study workflows, and all related documentation
  • Manage the full regulatory lifecycle of studies: IRB submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, and ongoing compliance with GCP and human-subjects requirements
  • Prepare and coordinate grant funding applications and assist with budget tracking and reporting
  • Oversee data collection, study databases, and documentation across multiple concurrent projects
  • Coordinate and manage cadaveric and simulation labs, including scheduling, specimen and equipment logistics, and inventory
  • Work with industry sponsors to plan and coordinate educational events and hands-on labs for residents
  • Partner closely with attending surgeons, fellows, residents, and medical students to keep projects on schedule
  • Lead the coordination of the summer research program for medical students, from onboarding through project completion
  • Manage resident and attending academic conference arrangements for state and national conferences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Prior experience in research coordination, clinical trials management, and/or orthopedic research strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, regulatory, and communication skills, with the ability to manage many moving pieces independently
  • Comfort coordinating with external partners and vendors; CITI / GCP training

Pay Range

USD $56,000.00 - USD $66,000.00 /Yr.
