About the Role:


We are currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support the Vertex Hospitality Group, Marketing Team. Vertex Hospitality Group consists of a diverse portfolio of restaurant brands including KPOT, Hook & Reel, Ugly Dumpling, and Kinya Ramen. The role will work on all of the aforementioned brands, as well as special projects as we build and diversify our portfolio. This role is responsible for helping create, implement, and analyze marketing strategies to reach the target audience, build brand awareness and achieve marketing goals.


The Marketing Coordinator will identify and manage local partnerships surrounding each of our restaurants. Building these relationships will be key as we enter into new markets and grow existing relationships within the surrounding area. You will work closely with Corporate Marketing, Franchise Partners and Operations to help bring the brand strategy to life in each respective market, ensuring we are building brand awareness, and driving traffic/sales through in-restaurant experiences, third party or catering.


You must be a collaborative and energetic relationship builder with a strategic mindset, passion for detail and execution. You will play a critical role with Local Store Marketing in new markets and building community relationships; unlocking VHG’s next chapter of growth.


The Marketing Coordinator will be a creative thinker with a proactive hands-on approach to their work. Tech savvy and digitally aware. Culturally competent with excellent communication skills. Perfect for someone who knows the local landscape, enjoys connecting with community organizations and businesses, and has a passion for grassroots marketing


Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify and establish partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and events to drive traffic and sales.
  • Plan, schedule, and track local offerings and partnerships.
  • Seek out and evaluate hyper-local advertising opportunities.
  • Represent the brand at local events or meetings when needed.
  • Maintain a log of all partnership contacts, activations, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, target audience preferences, and competitor activities to gather insights that inform marketing strategies.
  • Assist with managing and maintaining the company's social media profiles, engage with followers, and schedule posts to increase brand visibility and engagement.
  • Support email marketing campaigns by preparing and sending marketing emails, tracking performance metrics, and maintaining email lists.
  • Contribute to maintaining a consistent brand identity by adhering to brand guidelines and assisting with design tasks.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as organizing marketing materials, managing marketing calendars, and maintaining marketing databases.
  • Ensure hugely impactful and successful New Market Openings within the region.
  • Analyze program performance and business data to identify best practices and learnings, and then translate findings into actionable plans.
  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience in hospitality, field marketing, community outreach, partnerships, or related roles
  • Strong local market knowledge and connections are a major plus
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Familiarity with promo tracking and basic marketing metrics
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to create & execute marketing and business plans tailored to numerous territories.
  • Ability to travel up independently across the Tri-State


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bilingual in Mandarin
  • Experience working within the Hospitality industry, small businesses, non-profits, or community groups
  • Previous work in event-based marketing or regional activations
  • Experience using Meta, Google, Canva, and basic CRM tools
