Your ResponsibilitiesĀ
The Strategy & Consulting Summer AssociateĀ is responsible forĀ working on projects or specific pieces of work to shape, develop, and enable execution of strategies.Ā Ā
Each Strategy & Consulting Summer Associate will report into a project area āVertical.āĀ The Verticals are described below.Ā
U.S.Ā Commercial:Ā EncompassesĀ Pfizerās commercial effortsĀ across Therapeutic Areas (Oncology,Ā Internal Medicine, Vaccines, Antivirals,Ā Inflammation & Immunology,Ā and ourĀ HospitalĀ portfolio)Ā
GlobalĀ Commercial Platforms:Ā EncompassesĀ 3 global commercial platformsĀ ā Marketing,Ā Medical Affairs, and Market Access.Ā Ā
InternationalĀ Commercial Division:Ā Consists of the commercial organizations and corresponding P&LsĀ in allĀ exĀ U.S.Ā markets.Ā
Corporate andĀ PfizerĀ ResearchĀ &Ā Development:Ā Encompasses a wide range of Corporate Functions andĀ high priorityĀ strategy projects forĀ Research and Development.Ā
While this position reports into the Strategy & ConsultingĀ (S&C)Ā team organizationally, this person will stay connected to key business challenges and opportunities as articulated by theĀ Business Unit (BU)Ā leadership teams, ensuring that there is alignment with strategic priorities, and/or recommending adjustments to priorities when necessary. The scope of the role will include contributions to BU strategic planning, contributions to projects related to key strategic issues, and insight and assessment of market signals that couldĀ impactĀ business performance or strategic direction.Ā
TheĀ S&CĀ Summer Associate will need to be highly proactive, work collaboratively with other groups, have strong attention to detail along with written, verbal and listening skills, presentation skills, teaming, facilitation, mental agility, and relationship building skills.āÆĀ

WhatĀ thisĀ looks likeĀ on a daily basis:Ā
Contribute to the development of business strategies at a global, and where appropriate, a local level, by managing workstreams across a portfolio of projects that provide insight and direction on key strategic levers, such as market development, customer needs assessment, competitive advantage, market and/or product prioritization.Ā
Contribute to the completion of annual strategic plans, as well as aligned strategic action plans.Ā
Develop andĀ maintainĀ an understanding of market dynamicsĀ in order toĀ identifyĀ market trends and appropriately assess opportunities and guide strategic direction. Provide perspective on the potential impact of external market signals that couldĀ impactĀ future business performance.Ā
UnderstandĀ the priorities of theĀ internal BU business partnersĀ and/or corporateĀ functionalĀ leads toĀ understandĀ business needs andĀ representĀ theĀ current statusĀ of opportunity evaluations.Ā
ActivelyĀ participateĀ in the assigned S&C team learning opportunities throughĀ hands onĀ project experiences, role-specific professional developmentĀ trainings, and sharing sessions.Ā
Qualifications
Successful candidates for this role typically bring the following skills andĀ experiences:
Must-Have
Ā MinimumĀ BS/BA with 3 years of relevant experience
EnrolledĀ in aĀ Full-Time MBAĀ program,Ā 1st year studentĀ graduating in SpringĀ 2028
Relevant healthcare experience includes experience working in/withĀ commercial,Ā corporateĀ or R&D biopharma functionsĀ involving strategy development and/or strategic initiativesĀ (e.g., marketing, commercial development, market access & pricing, business development, R&D strategy / portfolio management, etc.)Ā
Basic understanding of trends and market dynamicsĀ in US and Global healthcare and biopharmaceuticals, basic understanding of competitor strategies, and basic understanding of the drug development process.Ā
Demonstrated strong strategic thinking skills,Ā asĀ evidencedĀ by the ability to tee up the right questions,Ā identifyĀ alternative scenarios, articulate resulting implications, and develop recommendations for decision-making or action.Ā
Ability to understand and translate market and competitive dynamics into strategic implicationsĀ forĀ the businessĀ units.Ā
Basic understanding of finance and P&L implicationsĀ of any strategyĀ
Ability to work with complex information and distill into a frameworkĀ that helpsĀ facilitateĀ decision making, whileĀ maintainingĀ attention to detail and accuracy.Ā
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skillsĀ
DemonstratedĀ high learning agility, āteam playerā mentality, and positive attitude and poise under pressure.Ā Ā
Strong command of English language, spoken and written.Ā Ā

Work Location Assignment: MBA Summer Associates work out of Pfizerās New York Headquarters in Hudson Yards, Manhattan and will be expected to come into the office 4 days a week to connect and innovate with their team face-to-face.Ā Ā
This opportunity is meant for the Summer of 2027.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $88,500 to $147,500. Benefits offered include paid holidays.
