About the role
The Media Assistant is an integral support member of the Media team. Media Assistants work closely with Buyers, Supervisors, and Account Management to ensure that various Video (TV, OTT), Audio (terrestrial and digital radio, podcast), Out-of-Home and Display campaigns run smoothly. They organize all stages of the buying process from meeting on initial requests, to carrying out post analysis and reporting requests. In general, the position has a set list of responsibilities daily. In addition, the Assistant will perform ad hoc responsibilities based on business needs.Â
What you'll do
- Function as campaign liaison to media vendor representatives as well as Administrative Support to members of the Media Buying Team including:
- sending broadcast orders and revisions and; responding to station/network vendors’ needs in a timely manner.
- Contact media vendors for logs (airing times for TV and Radio advertisements) and pacing reports, and responsible for pre and post log entry and budget tracking.Â
- Timely handle traffic requests
- Handle credit requests and manage invoice discrepancies with accounting.
- Establish and maintain quality relationships with media vendors
- Assist with client reporting
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work on several campaigns at once.
- Assist with/participate in other ad hoc projects and work assignments, as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, hardworking professional with excellent communication and time management skills. Â
- This position is considered entry-level.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Media or similar focus is preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Basic computer skills in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are required.
- Must work well with numbers and understand/apply basic algebra in demonstration of skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, necessary.
- Must demonstrate a keen sense of urgency and pace to complete multiple assignments in a very fast-paced work environment. Â
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) required.
- Must be highly dependable.
- Required demonstration of successful adaptability to ever changing priorities.
- High attention to detail and follow through required.
- Must have the ability to work well under pressure, as well as to work independently and in a team environment.
Travel
This position does not require regularly scheduled travel.

The salary for this role is $46,000. The successful candidate’s salary will depend on the actual ranges of current employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, geography, as well as the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
