About the Role:
NYM Federal Credit Union is looking for a friendly and motivated Member Services Representative to join our team in Brooklyn, NY! In this role, you'll be the face of our credit union — helping members navigate their financial needs with confidence and care. Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist members in-person, by phone, and via digital channels with account inquiries and transactions
- Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account transfers accurately and efficiently
- Open new member accounts, including checking, savings, and certificate accounts
- Educate members on credit union products and services to meet their financial goals
- Resolve member concerns and complaints with professionalism and a solutions-oriented approach
- Maintain compliance with federal credit union regulations and internal policies
- Support branch operations and collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless member experience
Requirements:
- Prior experience in tellering, member services, customer service, or a financial institution REQUIRED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a member-first attitude
- Basic knowledge of banking or credit union products, services, and regulations
- Proficiency in data entry and comfort working with financial software systems
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain a balanced drawer
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus
