Job Summary
The Membership Service Agent will provide a high level of customer care to the diverse patron base, as well as providing clerical and general office support, at the May Center.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Greet and record all members, walk-ins, class attendees, guests, and sales appointments in a friendly and professional manner; ensure all memberships are current and valid.
- Assist with guest check-in, including introducing to appropriate team member, and ensure all required waivers are completed, when applicable.
- Receive member feedback and discern the appropriate resolution actions are taken in a timely fashion, and ensure information is shared with the appropriate stakeholder(s).
- Process monetary transactions including, but not limited to, memberships, guest passes, pro-shop purchases, personalized services, and drop-in sessions.
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Process membership-related forms.
- Promote and assist customers with Pro-shop items and facilitate proper restocking of all items.
- Receive and distribute mail, packages and messages to appropriate staff and handle phone calls.
- Complete training to assist with handling emergency/alarm situations.
- Assist with May Center special projects on an as-needed basis.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Experience, Education, & Skills Desired
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Extensive customer service experience; Friendly and outgoing personality with strong verbal communication skills.
- Cashier experience as well as experience in being responsible for balancing a cash drawer.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using a CRM, member management software is a plus.
- Experience and comfort with operating a muti-line phone system.
- Great attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Retail sales and/or fitness/sports related experience a plus.
- CPR certification preferred.
Work Environment & Requirements
36.25 hours per week.
Monday-Thursday: 1:30 - 9:30 pm and Sunday: 7:30 am-3:30 pm with 45-minute meal break each day.

Compensation Range$45,000
The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
