Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Handle all phases of medical malpractice and professional liability litigation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
  • Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions.
  • Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
  • Communicate directly with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and witnesses.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.

Experience you will need:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the New York Bar.
  • 3–6 years of litigation experience with a focus on a combination of Medical Malpractice and Professional Liability matters.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience handling discovery, motion practice, and client communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
