Derivatives Associate | Financial Regulatory & Transactions | New York

A top AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Financial Regulatory and Derivatives practice in New York.

This role sits at the intersection of transactional derivatives work and evolving regulatory frameworks.

The Role

You will advise investment managers, financial institutions, and emerging companies on:

• Dodd-Frank, CFTC, and SEC regulatory requirements

• Commodities, futures, and swaps transactions

• ISDA-based documentation

• FX, credit, and rates derivatives

• FinTech and crypto-related trading structures

The practice covers the full transaction lifecycle, from structuring and negotiation through regulatory risk management.

Candidate Profile

• At least 3 years of experience with derivatives or commodities transactions

• Familiarity with CFTC and SEC regulatory regimes

• Experience drafting and negotiating ISDA and related documentation

• Interest in expanding into adjacent asset classes and emerging products

This role fits a mid-level associate who wants both transactional reps and regulatory depth.
