Nursing Scheduler - Home Health
Onsite: Brooklyn or Staten Island Office

Girling Home Health Care of New York, part of the Valence Care Family of Companies, is seeking a Nurse Scheduler to provide administrative and clerical support to the RN department, staff and Director of Patient Services

 Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily RN/HHA case placements and assignments based on requests from Intake and Case Management.
  • Communicate therapist assignments and scheduling updates to Case Managers and clinical/rehab leadership.
  • Process service changes, continuations, and follow-up requests as needed.
  • Enter and maintain accurate case and scheduling information in McKesson and internal tracking systems.
  • Maintain placement logs and related documentation.
  • Provide coverage for other administrative/clerical staff as needed.
  • Provide responsive customer service and support to therapists and internal teams.
  • Escalate scheduling or operational issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies.
  • Report suspected compliance violations to the appropriate supervisor or Compliance department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Minimum of two years working in a busy environment using the telephone, fax, computers, scheduling modules and filing.
  • Ability to handle multiple clerical tasks simultaneously and stay organized.
  • Computer literate, proficiency in scheduling systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
