Operating Room Instrument Coordinator - Central Sterile - Full-time - Mid-Shift

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to implement cost saving measures and cost containment strategies through product standardization and consolidation, access and conduct new product trials, assists with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the daily QA reporting system in addition to preparing monthly QA report for Operating Room Director. Determine instrument needs and resolve instrument issues by acting as a liaison between the Central Sterile Processing Department and the Operating Rooms. Responsible for instrument coding and tracking system which includes an automated data base of all instruments ordered and received, tracking and recording instrument expenditures for operational budget development. This is a full time, midshift position working 12:00pm-8:00pm Monday–Friday with some variability depending upon projects and/or special tasks.

Preferred Criteria:

  • 5-7 years Operating Room or Central Sterile Services experience

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelors Degree in health care or equivalent experience

  • Clinical expertise within field or specialty

  • Demonstrated skill in Materials Management and Information Systems
