Operations Lead

Hybrid Schedule: 1 Day Onsite | 4 Days Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Lead to oversee sales operations, logistics, and fulfillment across ecommerce and retail channels. This highly visible role will drive operational excellence, manage a growing team, and build scalable processes that support continued growth across DTC, Amazon, and major retail partners. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, a deep understanding of retail operations, and a passion for improving processes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Sales Operations and Logistics Coordinators, providing coaching, direction, and performance oversight.
  • Manage end-to-end operational workflows across Shopify, Amazon, ERP, EDI, and retailer systems.
  • Oversee retail purchase orders, order processing, fulfillment performance, and operational compliance.
  • Manage relationships with 3PLs, freight providers, and carriers to ensure efficient and cost-effective fulfillment.
  • Support onboarding of new retail partners and sales channels while ensuring operational readiness.
  • Maintain SKU accuracy, product data integrity, and inventory visibility across platforms.
  • Oversee returns management, reverse logistics, and retailer chargeback resolution.
  • Monitor key operational KPIs and implement improvements to enhance service levels and scalability.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Systems, Growth, and Leadership teams to align operational execution with business goals.
  • Manage operational budgets and drive cost-effective process improvements.
  • Handle escalations and resolve complex operational issues in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in fulfillment, logistics, sales operations, or related operational leadership roles.
  • Experience supporting both DTC/Amazon and B2B retail channels.
  • Direct leadership experience managing operations or logistics teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central.
  • Experience with Shopify and order management processes.
  • NetSuite ERP or similar ERP system experience.
  • Strong understanding of retailer compliance, chargebacks, routing guides, and operational requirements.
  • Experience managing 3PLs, freight partners, and vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of customs, tariffs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a high-growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with major retailers such as Walmart, Target, Costco, or similar national accounts.
  • Familiarity with EDI platforms and retailer systems.
  • Experience within consumer products, ecommerce, or high-growth retail organizations.
  • Exposure to operational strategy and business scaling initiatives.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
