The Operations Specialist role will support trading activity of portfolio managers trading listed Futures and Options on Futures. The role will focus on trade processing of Futures, with primary responsibilities targeted towards reconciliation on US/EMEA exchanges (CME/CBOT/EUREX/ICE). The candidate should be comfortable working with large datasets; as well as leverage machine learning and AI tools to optimize performance and scalability of functions.
Principal Responsibilities
- Design and maintain workflows to support the configuration, reconciliation, and daily exchange trade clearing processes, utilizing AI tools, APIs, and automated solutions
- Translate business and operational challenges into AI use cases, developing scalable solutions that improve accuracy, consistency, and process efficiency
- Leverage AI and prompt engineering to automate repetitive Ops tasks and ensure robust procedures while maintaining strong controls, data quality, and risk mitigation
- Review and analyze exchange reports to investigate breaks, discrepancies, and exceptions, and reconcile differences against internal back-office booking systems
- Partner with colleagues across the firm on strategic initiatives, leveraging predictive analytics, modeling, and AI-driven solutions to enhance processes, increase automation, and improve operational performance
- Build strong relationships with trading teams to address daily queries promptly, ensuring responses are delivered in a controlled, accurate, and timely manner
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Financial Services
- Experience in Clearing Operations at a Broker/Dealer and/or FCM is preferredÂ
- Proficiency in data analysis and reconciliation, with the ability to identify breaks, investigate discrepancies, and resolve exceptions
- Working knowledge of SQL, Excel, Python, or similar visualization tools for data extraction, analysis and reporting. Comfortable using Macros/Pivot & working with large data sets
- Experience using AI tools, APIs, and automation solutions to build scalable operational workflows
The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
