Job Summary:

The Project Manager Lead for Technology plans, establishes, and manages technical projects to delivery while serving as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. The Tech PM Lead also aligns projects with needs and requirements, constructs detailed project plans, achieves milestones, and communicates project progress across the stakeholder audience. Must be highly responsive to constant priority changes and a results-oriented, natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment leading complex, cross functional, high-impact technology projects that support PPL’s self-directed care initiative.   

 

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop and manage detailed, cross-functional project plans to deliver technology products and services aligned with organizational priorities, timelines, and quality standards.

  • Oversee projects from inception through completion, ensuring deliverables, milestones, scope, and resource requirements are clearly defined and successfully executed.

  • Monitor project progress, manage operational activities, and implement project changes or interventions to maintain schedule adherence and achieve desired outcomes.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership

  • Lead with clarity in complex or uncertain situations by fostering collaboration, building consensus, and driving alignment across cross-functional teams and leadership stakeholders.

  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications while providing timely reporting on progress, risks, challenges, and resolutions.

  • Effectively engage colleagues, business partners, and executive leadership to ensure accountability, strengthen partnerships, and advance strategic initiatives and work plans.

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and resource constraints across multiple functional areas to support successful project delivery.

  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, governance standards, and technology implementation requirements across all initiatives.

  • Conduct project evaluations, document lessons learned, recommend process improvements, and onboard/train project managers to improve operational efficiency and project effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • 15+ years Project Management experience

  • Data migration, data governance, test management.

  • 5+ years Medicaid experience

  • Proven project management skills, including project planning, creation of the project plan, execution, monitoring, and control. 

  • Adaptable to waterfall, agile, and hybrid project delivery. 

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 

  • Effective written and verbal communicator. 

  • Planning and organizing. 

  • Influencing, leading and delegation.  

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, preferably with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access. 

Qualifications: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field 

Experience: 4+ years of experience managing complex, multi-year technology projects to delivery. Prior experience in Medicaid financial management services is a benefit. 

Certification:   Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred.  May substitute certification for applicable experience.  

Working Conditions:
