This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Strategy & Operations Lead for the Policy & Government Affairs team. You will serve as a strategic program and financial manager for the Policy & Government Affairs team by overseeing budgets, creating operational processes, and coordinating cross-functional workstreams and events.

 

You will:

  • Manage team finances by overseeing budgets, handling financial forecasting, and managing the full lifecycle of invoices and purchase orders.
  • Drive strategic program management for internal workstreams that require high-level cross-functional coordination.
  • Develop operational playbooks and processes to ensure the growing policy team remains agile and organized.
  • Serve as a resource point of contact to navigate internal systems and clear administrative roadblocks for the broader team.
  • Act as a strategic engine for team operations, keeping projects on schedule and aligned with policy priorities.
  • Support high-stakes events by assisting with the execution of technology showcases and government stakeholder visits.

 

You have:

  • A BA/BS degree and 4–5 years of professional experience in Business Operations or Strategic Program Management.
  • Direct experience in financial forecasting and budget strategy, moving beyond simple tracking to strategic narrative building.
  • Strong organizational skills with a meticulous eye for detail, especially regarding financial data and complex projects.
  • The ability to work autonomously and drive measurable results in a high-growth, fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Sound political judgment and the ability to navigate complex sensitivities and internal organizational dynamics.
  • A solution-oriented mindset that utilizes logic and data to overcome operational hurdles and streamline workflows.

 

We prefer:

  • Experience in "Chief of Staff" or Deputy roles within a corporate or government setting, specifically managing executive-level priorities.
  • Technical proficiency in building operational databases using tools like Airtable, Salesforce, or specialized policy tracking software.
  • A track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder workstreams that require influencing high-level stakeholders across a company.

 

Travel requirements:

  • Up to 30% travel may be required to support and staff on-the-ground events, stakeholder visits, and engagement experiences.

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
