CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Principal or Signing Director – National Exempt Tax (NExT) to join our talented firm. How you’ll create opportunities in this Principal or Signing Director – National Exempt Tax (NExT) role:

·         Serve tax exempt clients in the Healthcare, Higher Ed, and Nonprofit industries in a high impact manner, demonstrating command of a major area of specialization.

·         Demonstrate deep technical skills and have the above related industry knowledge.

·         Excel at engagement management and operational excellence.

·         Assist clients with meeting their tax and day to day compliance needs.

·         Research and draft technical tax memoranda on various tax issues for clients.

·         Review and sign a variety of exempt organization returns and serve as a subject matter expert when appropriate.

·         Develop and mentor staff and oversee client engagement teams.

What you will need:

·         Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

·         Minimum of 10+ years of experience serving in a tax role with public accounting and/or professional services firm

·         CPA required (JD or Enrolled Agent (EA) may be accepted in lieu of CPA certification)

·         Experience specializing in tax exempt organizations preferred

The compensation range for this position in Massachusetts is $165,000 - $300,000

The compensation range for this position in Maryland is $200,000 - $350,000

The compensation range for this position in New Jersey is $180,000 - $400,000

The compensation range for this position in New York is $340,000 - $400,000
