Job Overview:

As the Product Marketing Coordinator at Eva NYC, you'll help bring new products to life - from early consumer insights and concept development through launch and in-market optimization. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Marketing, you'll partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Brand Marketing, Creative, Consumer Engagement, Sales, Regulatory, and Operations to shape product strategy, execute innovation initiatives, and ensure successful product launches.


Location: Brooklyn, NY (onsite 2-3 days per week)
Salary: $70,000 + bonus


Responsibilities:

Innovation & Product Development

  • Manage product artwork copy creation and routing process; creating SKU copy docs and ensuring all copy is accurate, on-brand, and aligned with Regulatory and Product Development
  • Design and execute consumer insights surveys to inform product positioning, messaging, claims, and concept development
  • Support clinical and consumer testing by working with Senior Manager to help draft target claims and consumer perception questionnaires that reflect approved product positioning and testing priorities
  • Conduct competitive analyses across haircare categories and format types, evaluating claims, fill sizes, pricing, and overall positioning to support new concept development & in-line optimization
  • Support innovation and reformulation projects by developing cross-functional briefs that organize and document approved strategy and product positioning recommendations
  • Contribute to product concept brainstorming, bringing forward insights from trends, competitive research, ingredient innovation, and consumer behavior to help shape early-stage product direction
  • Evaluate benchmark products and formula submissions, testing and providing thoughtful feedback through the development process
  • Serve as product knowledge resource for cross-functional teams, providing guidance on claims, ingredients, product benefits, usage, and positioning

 

Market & Consumer Insights

  • Conduct regular market research & identify emerging trends across ingredients, formats, benefits, and consumer behaviors; utilizing databases including Mintel, WGSN, and Spate and compiling insights
  • Pull & interpret sales and consumer data (Nielsen, YipitData) to identify category trends, assortment opportunities, and innovation whitespace
  • Perform ongoing competitive audits, monitoring new product launches, messaging, and retailer assortment trends to help identify whitespace and guide strategic decision-making

Marketing Operations Support

  • Manage key product marketing resources, regularly maintaining to ensure all details and key messaging remain accurate and up to date
  • Maintain Box product artwork library, uploading final product artwork and organizing multiple versions and sizes across portfolio
  • Support cross-functional meetings, presentations, and product marketing deliverables to keep projects moving efficiently

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of full-time or relevant internship experience in product marketing, brand marketing, or product development (beauty/CPG experience preferred)
  • Passionate about beauty and naturally curious about beauty trends, consumer behavior, and product innovation
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally with a variety of teams and stakeholders
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret consumer research and market data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
